Young Knowledge Leaders, or YKLs, consist of the next generation knowledge leaders who will lead Korea into a knowledge-oriented future. Outreach projects such as ECN, Let¡¯s Coin Campaign, BANSA Projects are just some of the activities run by YKLs.
YKLs in Action
Founded in November 2007, YKLs have their own ¡®Mini Forum¡¯ where they invite famous speakers to give lectures on the latest trends. The first World Knowledge Forum for Students was held in 2008, gathering students nationwide to share opinions and insights. Additionally, study groups gather every Saturday to exchange ideas and to interact. Various other programs such as workshops and sports activities are also run by and for YKLs.
YKL Radar
From now on, besides a month regularly speaker invitation lecture meetings we will provide a course program to be more systematic as focusing to the world knowledge forum. YKL members will be burned with a passion, far-reaching dream, a creative way of thinking through YKL activity, and YKL will be the highest knowledge interchange in Korea. YKL will lead to reduction more social than any other community through current activity of social reduction projects.
Becoming a YKL
YKLs are part of a CSR project run by Maeil Business Newspaper & TV, selecting university students to participate in the World Knowledge Forum so as to enrich knowledge in our society. 100 YKLs are selected each year through the Essay Contest.
